Safety Issues: I have shipped many Bouviers and have not had a problem. I often travel to/from dog events flying on Delta and have had very good experiences with their handling of my dogs. If you plan to fly and pick up a puppy, Delta does enforce a summer embargo (May 15 - Sept 15) on all checked baggage which would require the dog to be shipped in Delta's PET EXPRESS/Cargo scheme. Usually, the couple hour flight is less stressful on the puppy and for the human than a long, cross-country car ride. Cost of shipping varies on kennel size, weight and from region to region.
